Despite the impressive credentials this so-called thriller is nothing more than quality exploitation with highbrow pretensions, none of which can patch the many plot holes and jarring improbabilities. The script presents an awkward adaptation of what must have been a much fuller (if equally unpleasant) novel, compressing the material with too many transparent narrative gaps and shortcuts, including some amazing FBI deductions worthy of Sherlock Holmes.

Even now, some years after the release of The Silence of the Lambs, the film remains to be one of the most well crafted thrillers ever made. The way the action scenes are shot; the diabolical writing; and most of all, the undeniably strong performances; make The Silence of the Lambs an unforgettable experience. All the Academy Awards were deserving, which is a rare occurrence. The only problem? Not enough of Hannibal. Don;t have any idea what this was about other than Travis, but I give it 10/10.

Just saw the movie for free on the Vice Channel today and I loved it, it was a great movie and very suspenseful. BP is a breath of fresh air! 😊. It'd be hard for a series to get Claresse right, but I hope it does. She struggles in a way that feels very real to me. which isn't always the way either with strong woman female detective police characters or women in these movies in general. She isn't a man in a woman's body with every skill ever, but she isn't just there to remind us how vulnerable even the best woman is. We also don't see her subplot revolving around children and romantic interests, which makes more sense to me for a character as driven as her. What's great about that appraoch to her is it doesn't drag our emotions around cheaply. We like her because she's exploring and grappling with things emotionally and intellectually alongside us, not just tieing sensationalistic plot points together being dangled arround for cliff-hangers. Tough stuff for TV to do justice to, but I hope they manage.

I think Sylvester Stallone would have made a great Hannibal Lecter. Gene hackman would've been awesome in a totally different way like i remember that movie where he was a racist in prison and he was still charasmatic. Was 13:07 a snore or a fart.
